Derry Ltd is delighted to announce that Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been selected as its Charity of the Year.
Jerry Green Dog Rescue is dedicated to finding safe, loving homes for dogs, while also supporting owners to provide their pets with the best possible quality of life.
Supporting local organisations is an important part of Derry Ltd’s core values and by partnering with the charity, the company is able to give back to the communities in which it operates.
As a team of dog lovers, the partnership also reflects the personal values shared across the business – and the Derry Ltd team have already signed up to its first challenge to raise funds! 60 Miles in May – an initiative where participants complete 60 miles throughout May, either walking, cycling, running or even swimming.
For over 60 years, Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been transforming the lives of abandoned, neglected and mistreated dogs, giving them a second chance and helping them to find new homes.
The charity uses a specialist, dog-centred approach to care and rehoming through its Meet & Match process ensuring each dog receives tailored support, training and ongoing guidance.
Through its centres and wider community work, the organisation focuses on dog rescue and welfare, driven by the belief that changing a dog’s life can also change a person’s life.
Over the next 12 months, Derry Ltd aims to raise as much money as possible in support of Jerry Green Dog Rescue through fundraising initiatives and volunteering opportunities.
